Devil Dash is an adventurous 5K running race. Racers will ascend the "Purgatory" course and conquer obstacles themed after the 7 Deadly Sins, before entering the pearly gates and the "Beer Garden of Eden". Obstacles include climbing over cargo nets, running through the river, crawling through mud pits, darting through fire and trudging up steep terrain and much more..... Devil Dash is an all day running event, complete with mud, blood, beer, cheer and live music!
Do you accept mailed in entries/check?
Nope - online registration only.
Do I get more information from you prior to the race start?
You will receive email confirmation of your registration. Race updates & details are posted to the event page on each races webpage.
Do I have to pay to get into the Beer Garden or Music Festival?
No. Entry into the Beer Garden of Eden and the Music Festival is free for all participants, friends, family & spectators.
Can I bring my kids/pets?
For health & safety reasons, you are not allowed to bring your pets to Devil Dash. We'll be honest, it isn't the most kid-friendly event on the planet - with mud, blood, fire, & beer...so best to leave the Lil' Devils home.
How old do you have to be to race?
Minimum age to race is 14.
Can I compete with my friends/family/co-workers?
There's no team division, but you're welcome to sign up with some friends/family/co-workers. Just make sure to all sign up for the same wave.

The wave I want is sold out. Do you have a waitlist?
There are no waiting lists for sold out waves or events.
Can I register the day of the event?
Unfortunately, there is no race day registration. You snooze you lose.
How do I pick up my packet?
Packet pick-up will be available on site, beginning one hour prior to the first wave of the day. Your packet includes your race bib with safety pins, your chip timing device, and your t-shirt. We recommend that you arrive at least one hour prior to your wave time. Remember that you will have to park, pick up your packet, attach your bib and chip, and make your way to the starting line.
Can I pick up my friends packet?
If you want to pick up your friends packet you will need to bring a copy of their photo ID, a signed letter from them stating that you are allowed to pick up their packet and a signed copy of the participant waiver. No exceptions will be made if you don't have those 3 things.
What do I bring?
- ID - packets will not be given out without proper ID (no exceptions).
- Waiver - click here to print it out and sign (waivers will be available onsite as well but this will save you time)
- Cash for Beer + Food in the Beer Garden of Eden
- Appropriate footwear (running sneakers recommended). You will get muddy & bloody. So don't wear anything you don't want getting dirty.
- Costumes highly encouraged.
- Devilish Dare but an angelic attitude.
- An extra change of clothes & shoes is highly recommended.
- A towel to wash off after the race.
- A camera for taking photos in the Beer Garden of Eden at the "The Devil Made Me Do It" photo op area.
I need to transfer to a different wave start time.
You may transfer your entry to any wave that is not sold out. You must transfer prior to the "Transfer Deadline" listed on the race webpage. See the transfer information on the web page for each race.
Gear Check Option
Gear check will be available for racers to check their items during the race. You will need to pick up your bib first as your item will held according to your bib #. Feel free to leave your keys, t-shirt, hat, wallet, and all those items you don't want to carry with you during the race! Devil Dash assumes no liability for lost or stolen items at the race or in gear check.
I signed up but now I can't race. What are my options?
Sorry, but there are no refunds under any circumstances.
You may transfer your registration to another person by submitting a request on the race page of the website.
- All requests must be submitted prior to the "Transfer Deadline" listed on your races page.
- Only the current registration holder or original purchaser may transfer the registration to another racer.
You can try selling your registration on craigslist or facebook.
Please remember the original registration holder must submit the transfer request in order to transfer the registration. Absolutely no transfers will be made after the Transfer Deadline listed on your location's page. There is a $10 transfer request fee. All transfer request will be verified prior to approval.
Can I get more info about the obstacles?
Other than what's on the course map...no. But we can tell you that there is fire, mud, blood, water, and occasionally Hell on Earth.
I'm wigged out by mud, blood, heights, ____ (insert your fear here). Do I have to do the _____ obstacle?
We know you can complete all obstacles. You can do it! However, if you're unable to complete an obstacle you may bypass the obstacle and receive your finisher medal, although you'll be disqualified from all awards.
I'm not in good shape...can I do this race?
We firmly believe that almost everyone can walk 3 miles. Throw in loads of fun obstacles and it might be just what YOU need to GET OFF THE COUCH. I don't know how to swim. Can I still compete?
Yes. You will have to traverse some bodies of water, but most aren't higher than knee deep and none require you to swim.
Is the race safe?
There's certainly risk involved in any athletic endeavor or race, but we take every precaution possible to get you across the finish line safely. There will be paramedics and an ambulance on site in case of an emergency. You enter Devil Dash at your own risk.
What if it rains?
More MUD + FUN. No inclement weather refunds.

Natural Disaster Policy:
If an Act of God/Terrorism/Community Disaster occurs, what actions are taken?
- We will make decisions based on safety first.
- Races will be altered as seen fit.
- Athletes in that race will have first right to sign-up for that event the next year
- Financial: The Devil Dash Series cannot accept the risk of a disaster for everyone. Each athlete needs to accept the risk of his or her entry fee. There will be NO REFUNDS or free entries to other future races. The money you paid is spent developing that race.
